Pilots may go into work thinking that their wardrobe doesn't matter. Such pilots may want to think again. Flight comparison website Skyscanner.net recently released the results of a poll rating the best-dressed airlines.

Long gone are the days of tacky uniforms and ill-fitted clothing. Many airlines have commissioned high-end designers to give their crew a polished look.

The highest-ranking airlines include Qatar Airways, Air France, British Airways, Iberia, and Alitalia.

Air France revamped their wardrobe in 2005 with designer Christian Lacroix. The survey revealed that 17 percent of respondents said the attire worn by Air France crew are most stylish.

However, it was Qatar Airways who are consider most stylish amongst voters, taking home 33 percent of the votes. The airline staff wear a reto-looking crimson-colored uniform.

United Airlines might see their name on the topping the list of fashion forward uniforms in the future. The airline's crew will sportattire desgined by Cynthia Rowley next year.

"New uniforms, with an improved look and feel, are a key investment in our company and our people, who are the face of United," United Airlines president John Tague said in a statement.
