Aviation meets online bidding

August 10, 2010, 09:06 pm

Buying an airplane can now be simple as a bid and mouse click. Aviation-Auctions will be launching an on line bidding website for owners and providers to sell and buy aircraft.

Auctions will take place every quarter with the first bid slated to commence on September 9 of this year.

Bristow has already agreed to list some items on the bidding website.

"We are excited that Bristow has already signed up to be one of our launch customers," says Aviation Auctions lead consultant Don Groenemann. "If your aircraft sells, you quickly and easily convert it into cash. If it does not sell, you also win since the auction process helps establish the 'true market value' which may impact property taxes."

Online auctions could provide benefits for consumers. By bidding for items online, people can get deals on goods more cheaply than they may have found elsewhere. Sellers also stand to fare well in the online auction world by being able to reach out to a larger potential buying pool than they may have found otherwise.ADNFCR-3158-ID-19923278-ADNFCR
