Northstar Flight Lab helps pilots with training

February 1, 2013, 02:24 pm

With technology changing the way pilots fly, its understandable that aviators might need a little extra help operating new systems.

RDD Enterprises recently announced that they have added a flight training center in Oregon to help pilots in operating technologically advanced aircraft. The new center, Northstar Flight Lab, features a new Redbird FMX simulator to help pilots learn on the latest avionics suites. Company officials have made it their mission to provide pilots recurrent training and a seamless transition to technologically advanced aircraft with the Garmin G1000 an G9000 avionics suite.

“We're able to keep training costs down by doing a large portion of the scenario-based training on the ground with the full motion simulator and a host of multi-media materials without burning a gallon of fuel,” stated Dave McRae, director of business development for RDD Enterprises and Northstar Flight Lab.

Northstar Flight Lab will also combine scheduled or unscheduled repairs and maintenance to aircraft while a pilot receives training. McRae added that pilots can also take advantage of a vacation in the surrounding Central Oregon area.

Pilots in the general aviation community are encouraged to take advantage of pilot life insurance to ensure their family's financial future.
