Piper gets new maintenance publication provider

September 20, 2012, 01:49 pm

Piper Aircraft recently announced that starting December 5, maintenance and regulatory documents will be available through Aircraft Technical Publishers Aviation Hub Online Service an ATP's NavigatorV Desktop Platform.

The company also said that until that time customers will be able to access their manuals and publications via Avantext.

“With ATP, Piper maintenance professionals will have access to all of our maintenance publications and the necessary regulatory documents,” said Simon Caldecott, Piper president and CEO . “ATP Aviation Hub subscribers can have immediate, online access to technical publications and Airworthiness Directives. NavigatorV desktop platform users also can quickly and efficiently download and install new libraries within minutes of purchase.”

ATP President Rich Marino added that they are pleased to offer cloud-based services in partnership with Piper and that these customers are assured that they are receiving complete service that is current and will have them ready for inspection.

Piper said that the single integrated solution offers several advantages including having to learn only one simple software for publication access, daily revision updates to all content, and the elimination of the cost for installing and managing software.

The process streamlines parts procurement and reduces transcription errors through the creation of a parts list to be ordered linked directly to a parts catalog or any technical publication.

Piper Aircraft announced at the Experimental Aviation Association's AirVenture in July they increased aircraft deliveries and revenue during the first six months of 2012, while improving aircraft performance for the general aviation community over the last two and a half years.

"Piper Aircraft is the only general aviation manufacturer to offer a complete line of aircraft to help realize the flying dreams of most any pilot," reads the company's website. "From rugged, reliable trainers to high-performance turboprops, Piper creates the highest quality craft for everyone -- from new pilots to adventure-seekers to serious business travelers."

In the second quarter of 2012, Piper delivered 39 new aircraft. The company's deliveries incresed 18 percent on a year-over-year comparison, while revenue is up more than 20 percent during that same period of time.

Piper delivered 76 new planes during the first six months of 2012, accounting for an increase of 28 percent on a year-over-year comparison. The first half of 2012's deliveries generated $69,001,213 in revenue, up 20 percent from the same period last year.

For those in the general aviation community, flight inspections are important for preventative maintenance. Pilot life insurance is similar in preparing for the future.
