Boeing absorbs Inmedius

May 11, 2012, 10:36 am

The Boeing Company announced its acquisition of Inmedius, the software applications and services provider for managing and sharing information and learning content. Inmedius has approximately 75 employees, with its headquarters in Pittsburgh and offices in India and the United Kingdom.

“Boeing is committed to making customers more successful by helping them connect their data and transform it into actionable, real-time information,” said Per Norén, vice president of commercial aviation information services. The addition of Inmedius will bring a superb group of staff and a fresh, forward-thinking perspective to how we approach the development of truly innovative solutions for our clients.

Inmedius will be integrated into Continental DataGraphics, a subsidiary of Boeing Commercial Aviation services, and CEO Gary Shaffer will continue to lead the company.

Boeing is the largest aircraft manufacturer in the world and is among the largest in aerospace and defense contractors in the world. Its revenues are spread throughout 90 countries.

To prepare for the heightened summer flying season, Boeing is expected to make 585 to 600 deliveries of airplanes and is sold out for the rest of the year.

Those planning on flying planes during this time should consider pilot life insurance to ensure loved ones are financially secure and allow peace of mind while in the air.
