Epic Aviation implements risk management solution

Epic Aviation recently announced it will be using Allegro 8 platform to support its jet fuel and avgas supply, commercial sales, risk management and hedging activities. The integrated system will provide Epic with improved position visibility, logistics optimization, streamlined business processes and customizable options to allow the solution to grow with the company.
Benefits associated with the single solution included enhanced productivity from a single platform, enhanced real-time market decision-making, accurate credit analysis, improved tools to manage commodity price risk and hedging activities, and greater accuracy in the valuation of inventory. Using the optimized logistics management component, Epic will be able to effectively schedule and track and transport and storage of its jet fuel to customers.
Another resource available to aviation students looking to enter the field is a maintenance technician school information session. The Everett Community College's aviation program is hosting an informative session to introduce coursework and opportunities at the institution available to students and professionals looking to further their career in aviation. The school offers 45 subjects, hands-on projects and experience, and a certificate of aviation technology or maintenance upon completion. The program likely discusses the value of pilot insurance and other protections, as well.
